Fire Resistant Paint - this is the primer
If your building inspector requires you to have 1/2 hour fire resistance to a wooden structure then look no further than the Envirograf range of internal and external paints.
To meet BS476 Part 22 and EN European Test EN 1364-1:1999
For 30 or 60 minutes of fire protection to external cladding you will need two coats of the Product 42 HW range - either HW02/E (clear) or HW01 (white) then a top coat of the HW Superb.
A primer is not required if the timber is new, untreated or tanalised. You will require a primer if you are applying to Oak.Each product covers 8m2 per litre

In order to achieve class 0 fire resitance for oak timber buildings you will need to apply one coat of primer and two top coats.
You will also need the certificate to satisfy building control.
